Regala Skycity

Regala Skycity Hotel boasts a unique design inspired by a crystal prism that refracts lights mimicking the fluidity of flight paths from the busy Hong Kong International Airport. It features a vertical tripartite division and is completed with curtain wall that gives the building a sleek and modern look. The hotel offers amenities like a swimming pool, a rooftop jogging path and three restaurants with three different unique design and culinary focus. Oak Konan Shinagawa

The building is a mid rise, 12 story office building located near the harbor in Tokyo, Japan. The white lattice like exterior frame is an outer shell made of precast concrete serving as structural frame as well as sun shading device. Combined with the steel construction of the core this hybrid structure creates a column free office space. In addition, the exterior windows have natural ventilation window units that can be opened and closed manually. The fusion of design, structure, and equipment enhances high buildability and sustainability and has improved the added value of the building.

Float

A private residence with a skip floor that makes the most of the difference in height of the land. The living room is placed at a height where the surrounding buildings cannot be seen, and it is devised so that the surrounding scenery can be taken in according to the owner's request. The rest of the living space is located on the middle floor, and the entrance is connected to the garden, creating a space that welcomes visitors with a sense of depth. From the looks of it, you can tell it's designed to capture the landscape you need, wherever you are.

Timeless

Inside, the house is defined by two courtyards, one large and the other small, that are arranged in parallel. The main courtyard is on the south side and features a bamboo grove that draws the eye when one steps into the entryway. A smaller slit-shaped courtyard on the north side is also dotted with plantings and serves as a lightwell, filling the first-floor living room and entryway as well as a second living room upstairs with pleasant, diffuse light.

Cross

A private residence built on a site facing two roads in a quiet residential area. The exterior, which can be seen from the outside, has an orderly form, ensuring a moderate sense of openness while protecting the privacy of the residents. The interior is moderately open and has a visual expanse. In addition, in accordance with the shape of the site, the two planes intersect at different angles in the center, and the space created here gently connects the rooms. A new blank space is created by appropriately dividing the plane, and the plan is to deepen communication between residents.

Saint Peter House

Designed from the philosophy of participatory design low tech high customization, this house is conceived from bricks, a material widely used in San Pedro Cholula region in an ancestral way from the knowledge of the local workforce in the construction system. The main skin of the house has 3 formats for accommodating the bricks; double wall, lattice, and spike from where its expressiveness starts, which are distributed in a functional way to close, gain natural light or ventilate the interior spaces with windows in openings and other times through a double semi-solid facade.
