Oriental Movie Metropolis

Embedded within Starry Island's bay, the Oriental Movie Metropolis Grand Theatre was designed to present the force and spirit of the coastal city. Appearing as if sculpted by nature, the building seamlessly blends in with the symbol of a transfusion of Qingdao culture. With the aid of symbolic representation, the theatre deepens the emotional connection between the visitors and environment. The architecture is consequently theatrical in both its performance of narrative spaces and its context within the landscape.

Fondazione Bertarelli

Forum Fondazione Bertarelli is a concert hall for 350 people surrounded only by nature on the slopes of Mount Amiata, in the Tuscan Maremma, where amplification takes place thanks to the shape generated by golden ratio and natural materials, in order to avoid it from being too rigid in that environment created by the light and wind. Replaces a plan which, in that very place, provided for a complex of nine residential buildings. Aesthetic values are not perceived as added, they are part of the building and radiate from it. From the sky it looks like an olive still attached to its nearest leaf.

The lodge is designed to ensure undisturbed connection with the surrounding nature, combined with complete privacy and follows the slope of the existing terrain.

The Hotel Nudibranch

The design is inspired by sea creatures, which Nanji Island is famous for, such as nudibranch. The "mollusk" lifts itself by its soft legs and stretches its tentacles to explore different directions. The public part of the hotel resembles a floating space above the sand. The sandy ground blends into the hotel to become an outdoor playground in the shadow cast by the building above. The building blends the boundaries between buildings and landscape by its organic form and flexible connectivity. Eco-friendly technologies have been installed to minimize the environmental impacts.
