House of Tubes

The project is the fusion of two buildings, an abandoned one from the 70's with the building from the current era and the element that was designed to unite them is the pool. It is a project that has two main uses, the 1st as a residence for a family of 5 members, the 2nd as an art museum, with wide areas and high walls to receive more than 300 people. The design copies the back mountain shape, the city's iconic mountain. Solar Veloroute

The idea of covering the bicycle routes with "Veloroutes" - the aesthetic, electricity generating photovoltaic canopies and transforming them into attractive landscape structures is not only sustainable, but creates a kind of sculptural variety that becomes an architectural symbol for the change from gas-powered cars to more sustainable ways of mobility. Just one Kilometer of the “Veloroute” could provide around 2000 MWh of electricity and could power 750 households or provide electricity for more than 1.000 electric cars driving 11.000 Kilometers per year.

Shenzhen Lianhua Peak Restroom

Shenzhen Lianhua Peak Restroom is a public restroom building on the hilltop of Lianhua Hill in Shenzhen. The design seeks harmony between architecture and nature. A resting corridor connects the men's and women's toilets and opens a visual link between the square and the mountain forest. The main walls are fully open, so the scenery and the natural wind enter the interior. A perforated aluminum plate on the square side works as a visual barrier that protects privacy. Concrete, steel and stone are the main materials.
