Peach Blossom Future Villa

Peach Blossom Future Villa is a group of 56 single family houses set in a mountain scenic area in Anji, Zhejiang, China. The design follows the idea of uniting heaven, earth and humanity. Inspired by the traditional Chinese stilt house, each villa rests on three steel columns, which limit changes to the steep terrain and give a light appearance. Large glass walls form the enclosure and stress the horizontal extension, so the houses appear as glass boxes floating within the alpine landscape. Steel, glass and board finish concrete weather gracefully on the site.

The roof covered with dirt and vegetation imitates the natural landscape, making the house almost invisible.

Ho-House

Ho-House is a private residence built in a crowded residential area of Takarazuka, Japan. The design begins with the idea of cutting and folding a sheet of paper. Thin white slabs of reinforced concrete are folded to shape the space, and the slab edges are cut so the structure appears thinner than it is. Custom sash hardware makes the openings look seamless. Behind the parking space, a courtyard terrace forms a private area that connects the living room, dining room, bathroom and children's room. The house opens to the sky and links the interior with nature.
