Solar Veloroute

The idea of covering the bicycle routes with "Veloroutes" - the aesthetic, electricity generating photovoltaic canopies and transforming them into attractive landscape structures is not only sustainable, but creates a kind of sculptural variety that becomes an architectural symbol for the change from gas-powered cars to more sustainable ways of mobility. Just one Kilometer of the “Veloroute” could provide around 2000 MWh of electricity and could power 750 households or provide electricity for more than 1.000 electric cars driving 11.000 Kilometers per year.

Shenzhen Lianhua Peak Restroom

The project is located on the top of Lianhua Hill. The primary principle is to achieve harmony between architecture and nature. The rest corridor connects the men's and women's toilets, and forms a visual corridor between the square and the mountain forest. The main walls are fully open, leading the scenery and natural wind into the room. One side of the square is set with art perforated plate as a visual barrier to protect privacy, giving the square a strong cultural atmosphere.

Hi Sea

Conceived as a floating island, this hotel is located 500 meters off the coast of China’s southern fujian province. The buoyant project offers guests unrivaled views of the water as well as spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Its remote location meant that the architects had to consider environmental factors such as ocean currents and monsoons. Balance Design studied fish rafts in order to ensure buoyancy, while it was also important that the structure could withstand hurricanes. The roof is constructed from the same corrosion-resistant materials found in airport terminals and and yachts.

Handan Zarsion

The project was designed to form an urban square by chamfered corners to maintain the greatest interaction and openness between the living center and the city. The square formed by chamfered corners of the building is not only a display platform in harmony with the city, but also a natural convergence point of vitality. Considering that this is a long and narrow urban corner land, the strip-shaped layout can perfectly fit its overall boundary attribute. A brand new super-scale interface strongly stimulates the vitality of the city.

Royal Time Residence

The owner hopes that the display center can convey the same allure as the classical traditional Chinese gardens of Suzhou. The overall design emphasizes the visitor's experience of the space on site, especially when it conveys the fluid circulation of different spaces as experienced in traditional classical gardens. The project consists of 3 separate functional buildings with an open area enclosed in the middle. And different kinds of "transitional spaces" connect them all to form a modern courtyard which will become a spot where residents in the future can stay, socialize and communicate.

Equi Temple

Goal is creation expressive architectural and spatial image, operating of technologically limited. Use of rhythm, drawing of details, silhouette of massive wooden structures creates building volume. Arena in equestrian complex combines sports and technology, recreation and representative functions. Rectangular parallelepiped resembles the ancient monument. Arc-shaped lines of constructional elements from glued wood define basic rhythmic space concept. Glazed facades perimeter integrate interior with exterior and pitched roof with far-projecting eaves hovers above field on mighty wooden frame.
