Imatra GIS

The project is composed of an electricity substation building and five designer powerline structures, set in the national landscape of Imatrankoski rapids in Eastern Finland. Balance with the surrounding landscape has been the foremost goal of the design. The substation is a plain concrete structure clad over with a double-skin of hand-made long bricks laid in a zig-zag profile. The triangular motif of the brick cladding is repeated in the steel profiles of the new powerline structures. The design breaks apart aspects of the built context and reassembles them in a new abstracted form.

The Pitched Roof

Traditional Japanese houses do not create enclosed environments but instead, form spaces that enable easy transition from the inside to the outside. By forming a blurred boundary, only 40 percent of the space under the roof is entirely enclosed. While the inside is being used primarily by the inhabitants, it is the outside that defines it. Deep eaves, as Japanese traditional architecture elements in local monsoon climate, are almost extinct in modern houses. The house seeks to reinterpret the deep eave and create opportunities for Japanese qualities to flourish in modern architecture.

Don Majestic

Don Majestic is a new hotel in Punta del Este, designed by Guevara Ottonello Architects. In the Design of the building, the main objective was to create a sculptural and unique architectural shape, an innovative design, an Icon. Looking for that moment when architecture transcend itself. Trying to express poetic in architecture. Light and transparency, as a pure and curved shape, are main aspects of the project. In Don Majestic Hotel, the main objetive and challenge was to design with poetic, with courage and with passion, the sculptural shape of a Punta del Este Architectural Icon.

Jolab

Jolab, The building is design as a gallery rather than a factory. The double-tiered garden on the top floor is not only for heat insulation, but redefine the relationship between the workers and visitors. The goal from the skincare factory is everyone in this room would feel that they are part of the art center and they are the ones who create the art products, not just products on the production line.

Fengxi Metropolis

Xi An, a city with both traditional Chinese culture and an international outlook. This Xi An Vanke Feng Xi Metropolis Plot 5 project includes a 34,000 square meter office tower and a 100,000 square meter shopping mall. Positioning young families and children as the target customer group. With the design concept of "Dougong Heritage, Silk Road New Language", Xi An Metropolis is committed to create a family-friendly shopping park for children and parents as well as a garden-like green living experience center for all customers.

Dowell DoThink

The designers considered not only the facade and house type, but also the spatial layout and living atmosphere. To ensure an overall unified facade effect, materials like stone, natural stone coating, high-grade paint are selected for the high-rise residential buildings to decorate their simplistic and modest facade. Different from the Chinese-style solemn and tediousness, the design injects more vitality into the space to interpret a positive living attitude.
