Twenty Five Street Home

Manhattan's High Line materializes in a Brazilian city. Twenty Five Street Home is a project that idealizes harmony between human beings and nature, without giving up high technology and the sophistication of living well. Inspired by the famous tourist spot in New York, a space was presented where families could experience spaces (private and communal), without losing connection with their natural habitat and with technology combined to bring comfort to everyday life. The enterprise is the harmony of opposites, the search for more, without forgetting the essential. It's nature inviting.

Gushan

Gushan is a renovated fish market building in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, completed in June 2023. The century-old entrance structure was preserved, so visitors can see the original Dutch-style brickwork on arrival. The main volume is designed as a transparent box surrounded by a 270-degree sea view. Double glazing reduces energy use, and fused glass on the exterior walls creates a water-like, bubbled surface. The site now houses a ferry station and an exhibition and sales center for agricultural and fishery products.

House Symbiosis

House Symbiosis is a double residence built for two sibling families. The building stands at the rear of a corner plot and forms an L shape in plan, leaving the front area as open space. Only 27 percent of the site was covered by construction, which allows communal outdoor areas and greenery. Each residence measures 220 square metres, and a shared core of 85 square metres links the two homes. Displaced facades create balconies and cantilevers that limit visual contact between interiors. A sculptural ribbon-like element with double curvature unfolds on the front inner facade.

Black Monolithic Wall

This sculptural black residence was planned in a quiet residential area of Tokyo. The site is narrow at the entrance and elongates towards the back, forming a slender shape. While complying with Japanese architectural regulations, such as shadow regulation on neighboring lands and building height restrictions, the design aims to create dynamic spaces that capitalize on this slender site shape. The approach features a monolithic black wall integrated with the architecture, making the exterior appearance striking, while the cantilevered stairs leading to the entrance enrich the sequence.

People's Diary Experience Center

People's Diary Experience Center is a multifunctional complex located at the entrance of Yahuang Village in Shengzhou, China. The complex holds exhibition halls, classrooms, a convenient service center and a hotel. The large volume is cut into slender strips, and the strips are shifted to follow the irregular site and the fragmented village texture. Each strip is covered with a sloping roof, so the group recalls the layering of mountains. Courtyards between the long buildings bring the natural setting inside and follow the tradition of Chinese courtyard houses.

Tibetan Thangka Art

Lhasa Thangka Museum is a museum for Thangka art set at the foothills of the mountains in Lhasa. The building is organized in the manner of a Tibetan monastery and creates a dialogue with the mountain and the sky. An external path climbs between the volumes and leads to a high square, while an interior path arranges the exhibition spaces. Traditional stone walls are reinterpreted as double ventilated concrete walls, which improve insulation and reduce energy use. Local materials and local labor were used. The museum promotes Thangka art and Tibetan culture.
